Overview
You probably don't know much about my friend Tony. He was diagnosed with ALS in September of 2012. Heart-wrenching is not even close to describing how it feels watching such a cowardly disease take over the life of someone you care deeply about.
His days were filled with frustration, humiliation and were a constant battle to just fulfill his role as a husband, father and caregiver.
In only one short year however, Tony lost his battle to ALS.
Having known Tony, Jodi and their children for the last 15 years, we have struggled with understanding the unfairness of it all. Why is it that bad things happen to good people?
We know there is no real answer to this question so we (the Davenports) do what we do best. We support our friends in any way possible...even if it qualifies as crazy.
That's where I come in.
I'm going to run 100 kilometers in memory of Tony while raising money for ALS Arizona.
This is where you come in.
Donations are not only great fuel to cheer me on but you're also giving hope to the many others afflicted with this horribly debilitating disease.
